The Alghero Golf Club was created by a group of enthusiasts, with the aim to promote and encourage amateurs to the game of golf within Alghero and the surrounding area of the North West of Sardinia.

The main objectives of the Alghero Golf Club is the organization of amateur Golf sports activities and the promotion of this discipline in local schools.

The sports of Alghero Golf Club includes a driving range and a nine hole Pitch and Putt  course, each hole  varying in length from 43 to 89 meters, each of which offering different Mediterranean vegetation.

The Pitch & Putt is a fun sport  and is suitable for  people of all ages. Itself has an enormous potential and can develop a more general interest for Golf, from the public and the media point of view, as it is an innovative variant.

A field of Pitch & Putt extremes focusing on the most difficult part of an entire golf course, the same philosophy of play, with the same land characteristics with tees, greens, bunkers and water hazards. The length of the holes are between 40 and 90 meters, while the maximum development of the entire course (18 holes) is contained within 1200 meters.

The race times are extremely low compared to golf, the equipment is simplified and less expensive using a maximum of 3 clubs: two irons and a putter of your choice.

With these characters this sport becomes the natural school of golf initiation, but not only... In fact, the Pitch & Putt is by all means a complete fulfilling sport.
